TGIF :)

This weekend is going to be about food... And starting tonight we are going to have pizza, martini's and lot's of movies.. Here is a pic of the martini I will be indulging in.

Here's a simple way to make this.

INGREDIENTS

• 2 1/2 oz. Godiva white chocolate liqueur
• 2 1/2 oz. Stoli vanilla vodka
• 1 oz. Tia Maria

DIRECTIONS

Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Let sit five minutes. Shake again, then pour into chilled martini glasses.

Super easy and fun to do on anything you want to hide all your books, glassware, or just a really cool look.

DIY Friday, Color dyed wooden beads!

Step 1

String wooden beads onto leather cord to determine how many to dye. Transfer beads onto floral wire. In a nonreactive bowl, mix 8 cups boiling water with dye.

Color RecipesSubmerge beads until desired shade is achieved. (Once dry, the color will be much lighter.) The dyes are from ritdye.com.

Yellow: 2 teaspoons Yellow

Blue-Green: 1/2 teaspoon Teal, 1/4 teaspoon Taupe

Light Blue: 1 teaspoon Evening Blue

Dark Blue: 1/4 teaspoon Denim Blue, 1/4 teaspoon Taupe, 1/4 teaspoon Teal

Step 2

Let dry overnight on paper towels. To seal beads (optional), spray with polyurethane, following manufacturer's directions; let dry. Restring beads on leather cord; knot and trim ends

Weekend Update: Just Chillin

So this weekend we really didn't have that much planned do to the rain and we just wanted to kinda chill at home.  We played video games got caught up on some our favorite recorded shows, made lunch, did some house chores... cleaning etc... Then Sat night we decided to go to the movies. We saw 'Ghost Rider' NOT worth the $.. So on Sunday the rain kinda died down and we decided to start looking at this home we are so interested in getting.. I really want to move..

It's beautiful in every way, brand new and just ready for us to entertain in it.. lol.. So we have been really thinking about it. But that was our weekend... and I hope you had a great one. Happy Presidents day :)

DIY Friday's ' Lace Votives'

Create sturdy candleholders from lace saturated with fabric stiffener. Fitted with tea lights in glass containers, these luminarias can be positioned alone or in groups around a room or along a mantel for instant ambience.
I can't wait to sow my friends how this will look.. Super easy to do. Just find a favorite piece of lace and use hot glue to secure to each ends.

Tasty Thursday's 'Mango Salsa'

Ingredients:
2 ripe mangoes, peeled, pitted, and diced
1 red pepper, diced
Half a red onion, chopped
3 tablespoons fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Dash of cayenne pepper
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl.
2. Cover and allow to sit in the fridge for at least one hour.
3. Serve with chips, crackers, or toasted bread or put on a salad!

Well V"Day is finally here again. lol.. Now as a kid I always remembered I had to get those cute little cut out cards and boxed little candies for all my classmates and share.. Oh the joys of who was going to be my Valentine... lol... But now as I am alot older, I really just feel it's all just a hyped up day.. Flowers $100, Candies $50+ maybe a cute lingerie, but I feel that most of all we should just be happy with the one we love and are with.. and save that money... So on that note I  hope you have a great day..

Weekend Update

So Saturday woke up sick as a dog, Hubby made me some breakfast. It was his special fried tortilla with egg on top. It sounds not very appealing, but it's super yummy. So after eating feed Rocco out furry baby, waited about 30 minutes before taking him out, weather was so cold and windy I just wanted to go back to bed. But I did some much needed laundry, colored my hair, it didn't really come out the way I would have liked it to... So later on in the evening we had dinner than went out to the movies, We saw 'Safe House" it was action packed.. so I guess my hubby liked it.. But all I did on Sunday was sleep until 2pm I was sooo sick.. But still managed to make lunch and then we went out to the movies and saw 'Underworld" Then had dinner.. and I was super excited to watch the Grammy's. So sad to hear Whitney Houston Passed on Saturday :(. Hope your weekend was a good one...

Sweet Valentine, Sometimes when you're a crafter, you steal sugar packets from your local coffee shop and make Valentine's out of them.

Just saying. You should have seen me and my giddy smile, stuffing them in my purse, people must have thought I was insane. LOL...
